Center for Visual Art identity update

In 2010 I had the pleasure of updating and reworking Metro State’s Center for Visual Art identity. With the move from Lodo to the Santa Fe Arts District, the CVA is now part of a growing family of important art and design venues located on or off Santa Fe Drive. The identity needed to reflect the new environment and an evolving attitude — a future vision of the CVA’s place in a cultural and historic neighborhood. While the identity and system changes were significant, they also kept the spirit of the previous mark and the conceptual framework of the “window” graphic which is used within the signature. The updated system features a rotating palette of colors which allows the mark to be reproduced in a variety of related tones that communicate the fresh approach of the organization.
